We seek truth, not glory: we value reliable knowledge over fashionable results, methodological novelty for its own sake, or personal recognition.
We are not the right fit for candidates whose primary goal is to acquire technical skills as ends in themselves. We are interested in people who see computational methods as tools—whether existing or newly developed—for answering important biological questions and making biomedical research more rigorous, transparent, and accessible.

Some of our projects are compatible with Masters theses in Biomedical Research, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biomedical Engineering, and related subjects. Exceptionally skilled and motivated candidates are welcome to get in touch about future academic years.
We occasionally host short-term trainees and visiting scientists. Amongst potential sources of funding, we highlight the EMBO Scientific Exchange Grants. At the more junior level, we favour trainees with Bioengineering and Bioinformatics backgrounds.
